Acara Solutions has aDirect Hire Manufacturing Process Engineer role
in Fremont, CA.
Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in the PCB Assembly industry (EMS).
In this role, successful candidates will lead the assembly process manufacturing engineer activities from
DFM to customer feedback after delivery. Candidate must generate MPI and process ECO. Qualified candidates
must implement First Article approval activities. The salary for this role is $80K-100K per year.
Manufacturing -Process Engineer responsibilities include:
Responsible for the lead of assembly processes and manufacturing engineer activities from DFM to customer feedback
after delivery and performing DFM and providing tools such as stencils and fixtures.
Generate MPI and process ECO
Profile for reflow ovens and rework station using Super MOLE, SMT machines, PCBA inspection equipment such as Microscope, 3D X-ray machine, Multimeter
Implement First article approval activities including visual and 3D X-ray inspection based on IPC-A-610 inspection criteria
Troubleshoot assembly process-related issues from each step of inspection (FA/In-process/Final)
Interfaces with production supervisors and managers on all product specifications and
Assist in the development of training and providing training to production personnel
CAR & NCM analysis, approval, and root cause or corrective/preventive action
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 10 years of engineering experience in the PCB Assembly industry
Can work independently to facilitate and accomplish multiple assignments simultaneously
Can work interactively with cross-functional teams within a small company environment to facilitate results
Team leadership skills and ability to work effectively with customers
Strong knowledge of PCB Assembly, System Build, and Rework processes
Experience with current revision IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standards
Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings
Experience with statistical techniques (sampling and SPC), DOE, Six Sigma
Experience with validations, and quality system assessments
Analytical and flexible
Working knowledge of labor time estimating & quoting for assembly operations
Training manufacturing personnel on assembly process instructions or process
Exceptional ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems, failure analysis
Communicating effectively across all levels of the organization & external interfaces
Proven success with project management and implementation of quality system improvements
Works well under pressure, organized and self-motivated, coordinate projects
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires 5+ years of related experience in the PCB Assembly industry (EMS)
BS or BA Degree
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Windows applications
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to present
Fluent in English and Vietnamese or Korean
