    Job Title: Network Engineer - LAN Refresh

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to oversee the LAN refresh project involving 1000 Cisco switches. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network infrastructure, particularly in configuring VLANs, STP, trunk port-channels, stack switches, and chassis-based switches. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of the project over an 18-month period, with a focus on maintaining network stability, performance, and security throughout the refresh process. While the work will be conducted remotely, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in remote network management and troubleshooting techniques.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Plan and execute the LAN refresh project, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    2. Configure and deploy Cisco switches remotely, adhering to best practices and company standards.
    3. Implement VLANs, STP, trunk port-channels, and other network protocols as required.
    4. Configure and manage Layer 3 switches, including routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
    5. Manage and troubleshoot network issues remotely, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime.
    6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network integration requirements and ensure seamless connectivity.
    7. Conduct thorough testing and validation of network configurations to guarantee reliability and performance.
    8. Document network changes, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
    9. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network infrastructure.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    2. Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP) preferred.
    3. Proven experience as a Network Engineer, specifically in LAN infrastructure projects.
    4. In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including VLANs, STP, trunk port-channels, stack switches, chassis-based switches, and Layer 3 switches.
    5. Experience configuring and managing routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
    6. Strong understanding of network protocols and standards.
    7. Proficiency in remote network management and troubleshooting tools.
    8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
    9. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    10. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    11. Prior experience in managing large-scale network deployments or refresh projects is a plus.
