    We have an exciting opportunity for a

    Thermal Analysis Engineer

    to join our JETS II contract team at

    NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .

    • We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews.

    If selected you will:
    Support the thermal analysis group.

    Simulate and evaluate performance of agile and passive thermal control systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats including the Orion spacecraft and vehicles capable of lunar or Mars missions.

    Correlate thermal models to test results.

    Develop thermal models of space hardware or test equipment using Thermal Desktop analysis code and first principal models with standard desktop software.

    Perform other tasks assigned.


    Qualifications:

    Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area.
    Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following: FORTRAN, C, Visual Basic.
    Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to use data to draw conclusions and support the conclusions when challenged.
    Excellent presentation skills.
    Demonstrate excellent communication skills in a team environment.
    Preferred

    Qualifications:

    BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited engineering school.

    Experience with developing thermal simulation models of spacecraft hardware and systems at varying levels of fidelity ranging from detailed, first-principal models to more descriptive lumped-parameter models.
