    Description

    Polara Health, a community mental health organization with locations throughout Yavapai County, is seeking a dedicated and innovative candidate to train as a Cognitive Function Development (CFD) Therapist for school-based work in the Verde Valley. Our unique therapeutic modality, rooted in peer-reviewed clinical and academic research, aims to drive targeted neuroplastic remodeling in clients of all ages and diagnostic needs. As a CFD Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with clients, mentor less experienced therapists, and contribute to the advancement of the CFD therapeutic model. We provide training and certification for this position.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    As a Cognitive Function Development Therapist at Polara Health, you will learn and utilize our unique therapeutic modality, based on a synthesis of peer-reviewed clinical and academic research, to facilitate targeted neuroplastic remodeling in clients across a range of ages and diagnostic needs. You will work closely with clients to implement therapeutic interventions and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the CFD therapeutic model.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Utilize the CFD therapeutic modality to assess and address clients' cognitive and emotional needs.
    • Conduct objective assessments to understand clients' unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
    • Develop individualized session plans that incorporate targeted neuroplastic remodeling techniques.
    • Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance cognitive function, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
    • Monitor clients' progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced CFD Therapists, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Contribute to the ongoing advancement and refinement of the CFD therapeutic model through research, training, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
    Qualifications
    • High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
    • Polara Health provides training to meet the requirement of credentialing from the CFD Institute.
    • Experience working 1:1 with individuals is preferred.
    • Knowledge of neuroplasticity and its implications for cognitive and emotional development is preferred.
    • Ability to build therapeutic relationships with clients and create a supportive environment for growth and change.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Dedication to ongoing professional development and the advancement of the CFD therapeutic model.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
    • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in client care.
