Fairport NY 14450; Rochester City School District
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
July 9, 2026 August 19, 2026; Timeframe varies with each assignment. Full Time, Part Time, and Substitute positions available.
Positions Available
School Nurses for Summer Work Program
Sports Recertification:
Between 4-6 hour sessions available in August
CSE Committee preparation
SALARY RANGE:
$ $52.43 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
Duties
Monitor physical status of children regarding chronic diseases (i.e., epilepsy, diabetes) in addition to other disabilities (i.e., developmental, emotional).
Dispense and monitor medications and treatments.
Consult with staff regarding medical and developmental status of children.
Liaison with physicians, community agencies, parents, students, and staff.
Develop IHCPs and Emergency Plans as needed.
Provide First Aid to students and staff.
Prepare information for CSE meetings.
Recertify students for participation in sports.
Ability to run to emergencies and perform CPR.
Qualifications
Civil Service eligibility as a School Nurse:
Graduation from a regionally accredited NYS Registered School of Nursing.
Possession of a NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
Current license and registration to practice nursing in NYS.
CPR/AED Certified.
Prior school nursing, pediatric nursing experience desirable.
Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation), which may or may not include responding to emergency situations quickly (which may require running up/downstairs or running to sports field areas).
