Description

Overview:

Bluebird Turf, a division of Metalcraft of Mayville, specializes in personalized lawn care equipment.
The Assembler reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for assembling parts and subassemblies for products.
Operating hours are Monday through Thursday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Starting hourly wage is $18.00/hour with a competitive benefit package.

Responsibilities:

Study assembly instructions, blueprint specs, and parts lists to prepare work.
Position parts using templates or measurements and assemble components.
Ensure correct fit and verify specifications of completed components.
Resolve assembly issues and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, follow procedures and rules.
Manage supplies inventory, conserve resources, and document actions.
Contribute to team efforts and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a technical environment.
Strong basic math skills and familiarity with electrical or heavy equipment assembly.
Exposure to Lean manufacturing, ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of torque values.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Efficient team worker with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
Good finger and hand dexterity.
