Position Overview

Join the team at Apex Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center, a thriving skincare facility focused on delivering outstanding patient experiences. We are seeking talented individuals to fill the role of Medical Assistant. In this position, you will handle a mix of administrative and clinical responsibilities, including maintaining patient records, preparing examination rooms, assisting physicians, and managing front-desk duties. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, works well in a team, and is highly organized with great attention to detail.

This is a full-time position with hourly pay ranging from $16 to $19.

Essential Functions

Below are key responsibilities:

Escort patients to exam rooms and gather necessary information
Assist physicians during procedures and treatments
Educate patients on treatment plans and medication usage
Maintain clean and organized exam rooms
Handle patient records and charts
Provide emergency care following practice policies
Complete various clinical tasks and documentation
Assist with phone calls, appointments, and other clerical duties
Possibly travel to other office locations

Requirements

The following skills are essential:

Strong communication and team-building abilities
Multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in time management and organization
Knowledge of medical terminology and software programs

Preferred qualifications include a BA/BS in a relevant field, 2 years of medical assistant experience, 1 year in Dermatology, and certification as a Medical Assistant.
