    Kitchen + Kocktails, Chicago, offers a modern take on Southern Comfort Food, featuring a great selection of craft beer, wine, and some of the best crafted cocktails around.

    We are currently looking for Hosts and Hostesses to join our expanding team.

    Job Description

    The Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression by providing friendly service and maintaining high standards. They welcome Guests, manage waitlists, escort Guests to their tables, and ensure a pleasant farewell upon departure.

    Hosts/Hostesses engage Guests in natural conversations, offer beverage refills, and assist with light housekeeping tasks. They may also handle phone calls and to-go orders as part of their duties. Availability must include nights and weekends.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and seat Guests warmly, present menus, and guide them to their designated seating area
    • Advertise current promotions and introduce the waitstaff to Guests
    • Answer incoming calls, manage Guest flow, and attend to special requests
    • Ensure Guests receive top-notch service throughout their dining experience
    • Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols
    • Assist with table setting, clearing, and serving beverages
    • Handle dining charges and payments accurately
    • Support team members and contribute to overall efficiency

    Requirements

    • Ability to read menus and communicate clearly with Guests and colleagues
    • Excellent listening skills in a busy environment
    • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
    • Capacity to multitask and work collaboratively
    • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
    • Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
    • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
    • Desire to deliver exceptional service and work as part of a team
