    Position Overview: As a Senior Database Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in T-SQL scripting, Microsoft SQL Server technologies, and a strong background in data warehousing and reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and data migration processes for data warehousing.
    • Utilize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) to build comprehensive reporting solutions.
    • Review and analyze business reporting and application requirements, and research necessary data sources.
    • Design and optimize database schemas, dictionaries, indexes, and tables for maximum performance and scalability.
    • Analyze and optimize existing SQL queries for improved efficiency and performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between database solutions and business objectives.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in database engineering and data management.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent understanding of T-SQL scripting and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
    • Proven experience developing and optimizing T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions.
    • Solid understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS) is a plus.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are desirable but not required.
