    **Position Purpose:**

    Establishes and drives operational plans and strategies for the QA Engineering function and leads the execution of strategies. Ensures that all quality engineering and testing solutions or procedures are consistent with quality and compliance standards. Accountable for providing Quality Assurance expertise and guidance to ensure that new product introductions and design changes to products and processes meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

    + Develops the strategies for the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures and best practices for new and existing applications across the QA department.

    + Partners with functional and cross-functional leaders to ensure approaches to Quality practices are consistently applied within across all lines of business.

    + Communicates and ensures QA Managers and Engineers have a solid understanding of the overall strategy.

    + Establishes the internal and external standards and guidelines for the QA Engineering team.

    + Makes decisions based on reports and/or necessary quality documentation and presents it to applicable internal and external stakeholders.

    + Leads release engineering functions to incorporate testing within the product life cycle and CI/CD pipelines.

    + Accountable for reviews, provides feedback and complete final approval of quality processes.

    + Leads the efforts to identify and implement initiatives for continuous improvement of the quality system and ensure effective communication with applicable staff members.

    + Ensures products, processes, and software designed, changed, or purchased by Centene meet all applicable quality and regulatory standards.

    + Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance and coaching.

    + Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of testing best practices, business issues and best practices.

    + Develops and shares SLA and quality metrics for services provided.

    + Acts as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering Direct analysis of formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Complies with all policies and standards.

    **Education/Experience:**

    Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.

    Healthcare experience preferred.

    Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

    **Technical Skills:**

    + One or more of the following skills are desired:

    + Knowledge of Other: software testing methodologies

    + Knowledge of Test Automation

    + Knowledge of Agile Testing

    + Experience with Other: Experience with DevOps and Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CI/CD)

    Pay Range: $154, $285,100.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
