Direct Mail Solutions is looking for highly motivated, qualified, service- orientated candidates for the following position:

Bindery Mechanic

Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Bindery Mechanic - Day Shift, who will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of production equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up jobs including letter folds, double parallels and gatefolds.
• Perform mechanical or electrical maintenance to diagnose equipment failures.
• Identify ways to take proper corrective action and to expedite operational status of Bindery machinery.
• Service machinery in priority order.
• Provide support in areas necessary to maximize productivity.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

• Mechanical skills in a production or automotive environment are required.
• Knowledge of Baum 20, Horizon, MBO folders.
• Knowledge of Tecnau and Spedo cutters and mergers.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
