    Description

    Summary: The Business Development Manager- Fluid Fill Systems, reporting directly to the Sales Manager, is responsible for generating sales revenue for the assigned systems products, primarily fluid fill and control systems. The individual will utilize all company and vendor resources to be an effective conduit between customer base and Anderson Process.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop thorough technical understanding of fluid filled systems, the products required for them to function and customer applications. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
    • Develop strategic and tactical plans to grow revenue and profitability within the product segment.
    • Establish new accounts and maintain existing accounts by working with customer contacts and vendor base. Identify potential customers and new markets within territory of responsibility.
    • Plan, organize, and execute sales call schedule.
    • Act as an additional technical resource for sales team and execute joint sales calls as needed.
    • Work with in-house Engineering and Technical Support groups to propose improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer service.
    • Demonstrate cost reductions and operational improvements to demonstrate competence and gain customer confidence.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
    • Project management which includes: material recommendation, selection & pricing, preparation of proposal, closing the sale, and following up to ensure critical deadlines are met.
    • Participate in developing short-term and long-term sales plans to meet or exceed management-approved sales targets.
    • Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity through customer relationship management (CRM) software (Epicor/Rubbertree).

    Education/Skills/Experience

    Required:

    • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum five years sales/technical experience working with Automotive, Recreational or Non-Standard Vehicle Industry.
    • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and in a project-oriented environment.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to travel throughout North America up to 50% of time, some overnights required.
    • Valid drivers license.

    Preferred:

    • Product knowledge; fill systems, controls or fluid handling equipment experience.
