Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Low Voltage Fire and Security Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist our skilled technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage fire and security systems. You will be responsible for supporting the team in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.
This position will require travel 30% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the team in the installation, testing, and maintenance of low voltage fire and security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
• Help with running wiring and cabling for low voltage systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain and repair low voltage systems as needed, identifying and troubleshooting issues with the help of more experienced technicians.
• Perform basic system programming and configuration as required.
• Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to company safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of materials and equipment needed for job sites.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
• Basic understanding of low voltage systems and installation practices.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, and ability to use them safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
