    As part of the Digital Accessibility and Compliance team, the Accessibility Specialist supports accessibility and quality activities on Healthcare's digital products, including consumer-facing websites, social media channels and digital touch points. This role will report to the Director of Accessibility and Compliance.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct annual automated and manual audits of a representative sampling of websites are in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
    • Establish communication and monitor implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings
    • Collaborate with web developers on accessibility requirements
    • Develop and maintain standard templates for testing applications for compliance
    • Communicate the status of testing, including reporting of overall test results
    • Create and maintain resource materials and documentation
    • Triage and respond to accessibility questions
    • Provide training and education.

    QA Duties:

    • Perform detailed quality assurance audits and evaluations on new sites to ensure websites are accurate and follow company guidelines
    • Identify content issues – such as incorrect text and image formatting, broken links, and misapplied tags
    • Regularly track and report on progress and trends using spreadsheets and status reports
    • Provide regular reporting on identified issues.
    • Provide UAT support where needed

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • (Required licenses, certificates, specific skills, personal traits, e.g., RN, CPA, able to type 90 wpm, detail orientation.)
    • Knowledge and experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Xml, and Web content management systems)

    ● Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and guidelines

    ● Experience with accessibility audit and quality assurance tools and processes

    ● Familiarity with scripting languages desirable (PHP, JS)

    ● Strong organizational and project management skills

    ● Effective written and oral communication skills, able to conduction group trainings and presentations

    ● Demonstrated ability to effectively and independently lead projects to completion

    ● Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504)

    ● 3+ years of experience with web and mobile applications
