Location: Chicago, IL (100% onsite)

Salary: $15.80-$25.00 per hour

Language: English required, bilingual preferred (Spanish or Mandarin)

Shift hours: 2:00am-10:30a -30minute lunch.

Job Description
The Produce Quality Control Associate who is passionate about the quality of fresh vegetables and fruits. The candidate is responsible for checking the quality and quantity of the products, communicating with buyers with any issues. The candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Review and plan for all incoming produce shipments.
2. Review, inspect, and ensure all incoming produce shipments meet company standards for quality and accurate quantity counts.
3. Communicate with Buyers for any quality issues, call for FDA inspection as needed.
4. Unload, stack, and distribute products to appropriate locations.
5. Work is cold environment.
6. Maintain food safety standards and safeguard receiving procedures by maintaining and establishing best-in-class protocols.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Experience working in produce, ethnic produce preferred.
2. High school diploma required.
3. Ability to multi-task, work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to speak English, bilingual is encouraged (Spanish and Chinese).
5. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs and over 50lbs with assistance.
6. Ability to lift and carry waist, shoulder, and overhead high.
7. Ability to work in a cold and hot environment.
8. Ability to be flexible with early schedule and holidays schedule.
9. Ability to walk, stand, and sit for the duration of the work shift.
10. Able to use an electric hand pallet jack, standup pallet jack, and forklift.
