Job summary
This internship involves conducting on-site inspections of construction projects focusing on roadway and transportation infrastructure learning and applying standard inspection techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out assigned tasks observing documenting construction activities ensuring compliance with project specifications safety regulations quality standards collecting organizing field data including measurements photographs material samples participating in the preparation of daily inspection reports maintaining accurate records of project progress shadowing experienced inspectors engineers to gain practical knowledge of construction processes inspection methodologies attending project meetings site visits enhance understanding of project management stakeholder communication assisting reviewing construction drawings specifications familiarize with project requirements learning use various inspection tools equipment under supervision contributing development punch lists assist final inspections participating continuous learning opportunities expand knowledge construction materials methods industry standards collaborating team members small projects specific aspects larger projects develop teamwork skills performing variety assignments designed develop professional work knowledge abilities requiring application standard techniques procedures criteria.
