- BS/MS in the life sciences or related field.
- 3+ years immunoassay experience a plus (ELISA, Luminex, HAI, TCID50).
- Experience working with pre-clinical samples. Experience with non-human primate/rodent samples is preferred.
- Training/experience with Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) techniques. BSL-3 experience a plus.
- Process tissues and blood (rodent or non-human primate origin) for in vitro assays.
- Maintain detailed records on experimentation and reagent/sample inventories.
- May assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
- General data analysis
- Execute formulations preps on studies; challenge material (Influenza, SARS-CoV-2, HIV, ZIKA, MPXV, etc.), vaccine material and drug therapeutics.
- Plan and execute cell-based assays of animal samples. May perform tasks related to the research project independently, but within broad guidelines and subject to periodic review by supervisor or other research staff.
- Able to perform or assist with multicolor flow cytometric assays
- Process tissues and blood (rodent or non-human primate origin) for in vitro assays.
- Maintain detailed records on experimentation and reagent/sample inventories.
- Perform testing of new methods and establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- May assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data.
- Assist with report writing, SOP writing, and GLP compliance.
- Interact professionally with clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The Research Associate II position is responsible for performing formulation preparations (challenge inoculum, vaccine candidates, drug therapeutics) and immunological assays in support of scientific investigations.
RA II should be familiar with a variety of general laboratory techniques that are supportive of the research outlined in approved protocols.
