Manifest / Shipping Associate $15/HR M-F 8a-5p

Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned.

• Organize and prioritize picked orders so that they may be prepared for shipping based on age of order
• Assist Auditor / Packer when necessary, depending on workload
• Audit picked orders by visually counting item(s) as well as ensuring that the correct items have been picked
• Notify supervisor of any shortages that would require a backordered line item
• Communicate with order picker of any shorted items needed to complete an order
• Pack item(s) neatly and securely in such a manner to ensure that orders reach their destination without damage
• Palletize LTL orders and stage for manifesting
• Utilize the P21 system and UPS Wordship application to manifest orders for shipping as well as make notations on orders.
• Communicate & stage CPU orders in a timely manner
• Notify CSR of any credit card declines, incorrectly addressed orders, and any other information needed to facilitate the shipment of orders
• Place manifested orders in proper location for pickup by various carriers
• Schedule all carriers for pickup or orders within a given time frame
• Perform end of day procedures to transmit shipping data to various carriers

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers and the general public. Must read/write/speak/comprehend English.

Mathematic Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
