    Description
    Microbiologist 3rd shift needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Jose, CA.

    S. with 1+ years relevant experience in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, and/ or Medical Diagnostic is desired. At least 2 years of lab experience required.


    Shift:
    Monday Friday, 3:30 pm 12 midnight with a 30-minute lunch.

    Perform testing for new instruments, AST panels, and consumables.
    Process biological specimen samples using aseptic techniques and lab safety protocols.
    Work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team to support microbiology research and development.

    Requires knowledge and proficiency in standard microbiological methods such as dilutions and enumeration of microorganisms, stocking frozen strains, isolation, identification of pathogenic microorganisms, preparation and sterilization of culture media, and aseptic techniques.

    Experience working within a fast-paced environment with strong research background and proven proficiency in data analysis, research design, troubleshooting and evaluation of new technologies and procedures.

    Salary:
    $40 - $43 per hour depending on experience, W2.
