    Field Service Technician

    Salary:
    $65,000 to $75,000 per year, plus bonus

    Job Summary of the

    Field Service Technician:

    We are seeking a self-directed Field Service Technician who is comfortable interacting with customers, capable of writing technical reports, and able to provide recommendations for product improvement to the Product Development Group.

    The Field Service Technician will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

    Qualifications of the

    Field Service Technician:
    Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibility
    Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical
    Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and international)
    Proficient in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
    Strong knowledge of PLC's preferred
    Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    Clean driving record
    Comfortable with working at heights

    Responsibilities of the

    Field Service Technician:

    • Frequent interaction with customers, vendors, and contractors
    • Schedule and coordinate participation of vested parties during equipment installation and start-up
    • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries
    • Troubleshoot and repair PLC's, VFD's, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely
    • Repair equipment installed at customer facilities, including both warranty and non-warranty claims
    • Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations
    • Ensure correct implementation of pre-commissioning activities in multiple disciplines
    • Perform final commissioning and demonstration of equipment functions to obtain customer acceptance
    • Support project team in clearing all punch list items as per project requirements
    • Participate in project and construction meetings as necessary
    • Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel
    • Act as on-site troubleshooter, analyzing and eliminating faults, and providing technical support
    • Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements independently
    • Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
