    Japanese global medical device manufacturing company in Greenville, NC seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to spearhead the development and operationalization of our new facility from its Greenfield phase to full start-up and commissioning. This strategic leadership role encompasses the formation and management of both engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring seamless design transfer from our Japanese plants, and the successful installation, qualification, and commissioning of all equipment and processes. The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in establishing our facility in Greenville, NC, as a beacon of innovation and operational excellence

    Job Title: Engineering Manager / Sr. Manager or Director

    Location: Greenville, NC

    Type: Full-Time

    Salary: 115K to $130K (relocation and visa sport might be considered)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead the engineering and maintenance teams from the initial Greenfield phase through to the facility's full operational status.

    Oversee the design transfer of processes and equipment from our Japanese plants, adapting and optimizing them for the new site.

    Manage all aspects of equipment and process transfers, including installation, qualification, and commissioning, to ensure a smooth transition to production.

    Direct all process start-ups, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts to achieve maximum efficiency and performance.

    Develop strategic plans for the engineering department, including technology integration, process improvement, and capacity expansion.

    Ensure compliance with international and local engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

    Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance within the engineering and maintenance teams.

    Collaborate closely with other departments and senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives.

    Qualifications:

    A degree in Engineering or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with advanced degrees.

    At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role within an engineering environment, with a proven track record in managing high-performance teams.

    Extensive experience in Greenfield projects, from conceptualization through to successful commissioning and start-up.

    Proficiency in PLC, servo drives, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems, with a keen understanding of their application in manufacturing processes.

    Demonstrated ability in leading large-scale projects, with excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving strategic objectives.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
