The purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to maintain conditions of operating equipment. Individuals may work as more of a line mechanic position responsible for a production line and any issues that come up or preventative maintenance tasks. Other situations may require a technician to assist with major breakdowns in the plant or any larger projects.
Job Functions
The purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to maintain conditions of operating equipment
Repair or replacement of failed components, the ability to troubleshoot unknown issues with equipment, and make adjustments to centerline operational output of assigned equipment
Perform mechanical and electrical P.M.s on various manufacturing and packaging equipment and electrical panels
Troubleshooting PLC, understanding ladder logic
Understanding of conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics
Wire and re-wire electric motors
Document WO's/PM's using computerized maintenance management system
Troubleshooting and repairing routine electrical and mechanical problems on assigned equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and support Operations in equipment setup and changeover
Participate on MSE teams, train operators in AM activities, and conduct Breakdown Analysis
Team mentality to work well with maintenance & operational team
Focus on machinery uptime by performing preventative maintenance
Complete day to day SAP PM's and work orders
Submit day to day time entry in SAP
