CT Technologist (Nights) - Melrose, MA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (03/16/2026 – 06/13/2026)

Shift: Night Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts (40 hrs/week)

Job Summary

A certified Level III Trauma Center, is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a critical night-shift role. This position requires high independence as you will occasionally be the sole technologist on-site. You will handle a mix of inpatient and outpatient scans, including those from the on-site urgent care center.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Imaging: Operate state-of-the-art GE VCT and Evo/Evolution scanners. Experience with the GE dual-energy scanner is essential.
• Coronary Calcium Scoring: Proficiency in performing calcium scores on GE equipment is a significant advantage.
• IV Competency: Must be IV certified or competent to insert IVs for contrast studies.
• Trauma Support: Provide rapid-response imaging for Level III trauma cases, including head CTs for falls and acute injuries.
• Independent Workflow: Manage the imaging chain from start to finish—performing QA, warming up scanners, setting up pressure injectors, and editing tech notes in MEDITECH.
• Clinical Feedback: Report "wet reading" findings to the Emergency Department and physicians as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of CT experience is required.
• Technical Deal Breaker: Must have GE equipment experience.
• Licensure: * Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist License.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
• Certifications: * BLS (AHA).
  • IV Certification (Must be able to start IVs).
• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology.

Unit Details & Equipment

• Scanners: GE VCT, GE Evo/Evolution, and a new GE dual-energy scanner.
• Software/PACS: MEDITECH (Charting), Powerscribe, and PACs units.
• Injector: Medrad pressure injectors.
• Care Setting: Acute Care hospital with an outpatient urgent care center.
