    Provide technical engineering/QA/QC information to the Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes,

    specifications

    and design instructions. Assist in evaluations and solution or potential field problems, referring them to Project Management.

    must understand unit price evaluation/control projects.

    • Project Startup and Closeout
    Assist with development of startup checklist
    Assist with development of site logistics plan
    Assist in identification of critical issues and milestones
    Assist with development of quality control plan
    Assist with and monitor permit processes
    Prepare closeout log
    Participate

    in and

    document owner training
    Prepare O&M manuals and warranties
    Compile as-built drawings
    Coordinate transfer of attic stock
    Assist in demobilizing site

    2- Expedite Materials and Ensure Information Flow
    Administer RFI process
    Develop submittal log and administer submittal process
    Participate in and document job site meetings
    Verification of project materials
    Participate in schedule updates
    Develop and maintain material expediting log
    Review coordination drawings
    Coordinate and/or conduct quality control inspections

    3- Document Control and Project Administration
    Establish record and permit sets of documents
    Create and maintain document logs
    Post document revisions
    Ensure accessibility of show drawings and submittals
    Create,

    distribute

    and expedite sub response to RFPs
    Assist with subcontractor and vendor insurance and bond
    Process progress photos
    Assist in preparation of Owner Change Requests
    Assist with preparation of project status reports
    Assist with Quantity Reporting
    Maintain electronic archive files
    Maintain job site files

    Education/Experience:
    Four (4) year Engineering Degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and

    work related

    experience. Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques,

    drawings

    and specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to discipline. Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with calculator. Working knowledge of department's computer system and software. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.


    Physical Demands:


    The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    On occasion, it may be necessary to lift and carry or manipulate items of 25 lbs., walk over uneven or unpaved ground to reach a worksite in construction zones.

    This position may be required to perform a variety of construction tasks in all areas and aspects of the construction project - including scaffold or platform work, confined

    spaces

    and exposure to outside elements. If your position requires you to enter the

    field

    it is mandatory that you wear approved Personal Protective Equipment.

    This position may be required to work schedules which may include shift work, such as:
    day shift, swing shift, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend shifts. This position may also require occasional travel as necessary.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.

    Long term salaried position with full benefits including health, dental/vision, 401k with matching, and more Expected 50-60 hours/week on a rotating schedule, per diem or relocation package considered for the perfect candidate if out of area.

    Would also consider local hourly wage for a journeyman/foreman type who could fill this role.
