    Job Title: Parts Specialist

    About the Role

    The Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to retail and installer customers. This position also supports store management in achieving assigned tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Follow and promote all company customer service programs, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, and Rock the Call.
    • Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers with a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them in selecting merchandise.
    • Support managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
    • Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
    • Provide excellent phone service by answering calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
    • Responsible for accurately maintaining and securing the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, making change, and processing credit card transactions.
    • Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
    • Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
    • Assist with completing daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight reception, stocking shelves, fronting, facing, cleaning, and other tasks.
    • Perform various daily operational tasks, such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns to be shipped to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and other duties.
    • Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training is completed and company requirements are met.
    • Perform various in-store services for customers (where state and local laws allow), including installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, replacing headlight capsules, and other services.
    • Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate, ensuring driving records meet the company's mandated eligibility requirements.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
    • Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
    • Multitasking skills, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service is desirable.
    • ASE certification is an asset.
    • Fluency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish, is highly desired.
