    General Description

    The Title IX Coordinator (Coordinator) works closely with the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs (AVPAA), Dean of Human Resources, Director of Athletics, and legal counsel to oversee the College's compliance efforts with regard to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as well as other laws (e.g., state mandates related to student pregnancy and parenting) and rules relating to sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual assault and related policy violations on campus (e.g., Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA), Title VI, and Title VII).     Requirements

    This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least three (3) years' experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified above. Must have knowledge of federal and state policies and procedures specific to Title IX and sexual misconduct. Must have experience in creation and delivery of programming to a diverse audience. Leadership skill is required in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. A criminal background check is required.
