    Salary Range: $240,000 - $250,000

    Not only are you an excellent physician, but you also have the passion to educate and motivate rheumatology residents and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Join the Division of Rheumatology to blend clinical practice with teaching, shaping the future generation of Rheumatology experts and medical students in the Department of Medicine.

    As the clinical leader and educator, you'll oversee clinical, academic, QA, patient safety, and risk management while providing direct care to patients with rheumatology-related conditions. You should possess strong clinical skills, a focus on academia, and the ability to conduct research to enhance treatments for patients battling these diseases.

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Train, evaluate, supervise, and mentor residents in the Medicine program and other rotating residents
    • Deliver care to patients with rheumatology conditions in various healthcare settings
    • Handle administrative tasks such as EMR documentation and billing
    • Recommend treatments and further examinations
    • Participate in Graduate Medical Education studies and assist in educational initiatives

    The ideal candidate must have:

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited university
    • Board certification in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine
    • NYS Medical License, BCLS certification, and minimum 1 year of relevant experience
    • Clinical and teaching experience in healthcare settings
    • Familiarity with residency training curriculum
    • Strong work ethic and team player mindset
    • Active privileges at The Brooklyn Hospital Center
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
