    Service Provider Support Director

    Full Time/Exempt

    Reports To: ITVAP Program Director

    Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

    Position Summary:

    The Service Provider Support Director is responsible for capacity building, support, and training of the Indiana Trafficked Victims Assistance Program service provider partners. This position works primarily with individual service provider partners to ensure they are equipped to provide trauma-informed, victim-focused interventions that are evidence-driven in their work with individuals who have been trafficked or exploited.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Keep up to date on trauma-informed and victim-centered practices throughout the field.
    • Assess training needs based on deficits in the field or by individual agencies and trends in
    • the anti-trafficking movement.
    • Work with service providers to identify barriers and obstacles in their work to provide
    • effective, victim-focused, and evidence-driven services to trafficked or exploited
    • individuals, and find practical solutions to eliminate or reduce those barriers.
    • Collaborate with the ITVAP Program Director and the ITVAP subject matter expert and
    • survivor advocates in the development and implementation of a training menu available
    • to professionals and service provider partners.
    • Collaborate with the Regional Coalition Coordinators and the Program Director to
    • identify the needs of trafficked victims from special populations such as immigrants, youth, and the LBGTQI community, to identify successful intervention strategies, and share those strategies with service provider partners.
    • Participate in capacity building by training service provider partners in evidence-driven, trauma-informed, and victim-centered interventions.
    • Work with the Program Director to determine and build the capacity of new service providers as ITVAP partners.
    • Train and provide technical support to service providers on the use of the ITVAP database.
    • Actively build community partnerships with IPATH, law enforcement, civic organizations, schools, universities, service providers, and other key stakeholders to coordinate statewide training efforts.
    • Work with grant partner, Dr. Deborah Getz, Indiana University School of Public Health- Bloomington, to evaluate training and support that is provided and use feedback to continually improve capacity building support services provided to partners.

    • Ability to integrate resiliency and secondary trauma recognition and intervention in
    • training for service providers.
    • Ability to train in large and small group settings.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail in record-keeping, partner coordination, and documentation.
    • Therapeutic understanding of working with clients from varying cultural and
    • socioeconomic backgrounds and vulnerable populations.
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities, and organize workload

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in social work or psychology or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of trauma-informed, therapeutic experience working with clients,
    • preferably youth or victims services, preferably with those who have experienced trauma or exploitation.
    • Experience in providing training to individuals in the service field.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
    • Commitment to non-violent and cooperative work environment.

    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel across the state.
