Description Coding Analyst Location:

Remote, within 50 miles of an Elevance pulse point Hours: An 8 hour shift between the hours of 6:30 am - 5:00 pm P ST CareMore is a proud member of the Elevance Health family of brands, offering clinical programs and primary care options for seniors.

The Coding Analyst is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and coding medical records for the purpose of reimbursement, training, education and compliance.

How you will make an impact:
+ Audits and reviews medical documentation for appropriate ICD-9 and CPT coding and documentation. + Queries physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation is unclear. + Trains and educates others on coding, documentation, claim payment guidelines, and related issues. + Reviews CPT and ICD-9 codes annually for accuracy and implements changes. + Assists physicians and providers with questions and problems related to coding, documentation and billing.


Minimum Requirements:
+ Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. + Certified Medical Code (CPC or CCS-P) required.


Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
+ Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy strongly preferred. + Risk adjustment coding experience strongly preferred. For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary range for this specific position is $22.73 to $40.
