    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Hospice of the Piedmont is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients and their families. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist will assist and support the Director of Human Resources in the daily operations of the HR department. This role involves recruitment and retention, administering pay, benefits, and leave policies, and enforcing company policies and practices.

    Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

    • Training & Compliance: Collaborate with the Education Institute and managers to track compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and continuing education.
    • HR Programs: Administer and execute HR programs including evaluations, benefits, leave, productivity, recognition, morale, health and safety, and workers' compensation.
    • Inquiries: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex matters as needed.
    • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; assist with policy reviews.
    • Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
    • HRIS & Payroll: Maintain HRIS, collaborate with payroll for accurate information, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
    • Invoicing: Reconcile and process invoices for benefits and HR-related expenses.
    • Benefits: Serve as contact for employees and vendors regarding benefit plans, including enrollments, terminations, and changes.
    • Leave Coordination: Coordinate with employees and vendors on short- and long-term disability, workers' compensation, FMLA, and other leaves.
    • Performance Evaluations: Lead the annual performance evaluation process, monitor progress, and track documentation.
    • Records Management: Maintain HR files, forms, and databases, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Hospice policies.
    • Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the recruitment and onboarding processes as needed.
    • Other Duties: Assume additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
    Requirements:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/talent management systems.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • At least three years of human resources experience.
    • Understanding of general business functions, organizational flow, and adherence to policies and procedures.
