PIZZA & BEER, the latest venture from Eastern Market Brewing Co. Join Elephant & Co. and become part of our growth story, delivering Detroit-style pizza and market fresh beer to our community. New location opening in Midtown Detroit next month. We are looking for a dynamic and versatile person to join our team as a Pizza & Beer Dispatcher. This position is multi-faceted with responsibilities in inventory management, customer service, logistic coordination, and fulfillment. This role ensures efficient delivery operations for our internal team and our customers, as well as ensuring smooth brewery operations by maintaining optimal inventory levels for our respective locations.

About 20% of the daily role will consist of tasks that change by the day. We are looking for someone who is proactive and jumps in, embraces change with intentionality throughout the shift, enjoys being scrappy, and always leads with kindness.

Responsibilities

1. Pizza and Beer Dispatching

• Coordinate and dispatch pizza and beer deliveries in a timely and organized manner.
• Liaise with delivery drivers to optimize routes and ensure prompt order deliveries.
• Monitor delivery schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate customer demands.
• Box and expo pizza when business levels are low and the kitchen team is lean, as well as during peak rushes to help the kitchen crew succeed.

2. Inventory Management

• Submit internal taproom orders for the necessary merchandise or dry goods requested for the following day's delivery.
• Receive and inventory items when received.

3. Customer Service

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly via phone, messaging, and email.
• Provide information about products, and delivery times, and address any concerns.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and kind demeanor with customers.

4. Pizza & Beer Quality Control

• Ensure the quality of pizza and beer products meets the established standards before going out for delivery.
• Take accountability for product quality and make sure only the freshest and highest quality items are delivered to customers.
• Address quality issues with relevant teams and assist in the implementation of corrective measures with the rest of the team.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Keep accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and dispatch activities.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, delivery performance, and customer feedback.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Proven experience in dispatching or a similar F&B logistics role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices.
• Familiarity with food and beverage industry logistics is a plus.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
