AMMON Staffing is currently recruiting for a metal manufacturing company located in Sorrento, LA. The Forklift and Hand-Operated Crane Operator will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong forklift operation skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Competitive Pay Rate: $15.00-$17.00/Hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm but may vary

Requirements:

• 1-2+ Years of forklift experience
• 1-2+ Years of hand-operated crane experience
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds
• Strong background in safety protocols and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Excellent communication skills

• Operate forklifts to efficiently move, stack, and organize materials within the facility.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas using forklift equipment.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to prioritize and fulfill material movement requests.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and update inventory systems as needed.
• Conduct routine checks on forklifts to identify and report any malfunctions or performance issues.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures related to forklift operation and workplace safety.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness to navigate tight spaces and avoid obstacles.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy loads.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
