MONTICELLOAM LLC and its affiliates is a real estate and asset-based lender providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare multifamily and commercial real estate assets throughout the US Monticello is seeking leaders and team players who can work in a collaborative environment and possess drive integrity creativity compassion and a strong work ethic We are seeking an Accounting Associate for our New York City office The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial management principles and proven experience in audit procedures The Accounting Associate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by maintaining and analyzing the sets of books for a portfolio of many debt funds as well as the Sponsor related entities
Responsibilities
- Support the Day-to-Day Accounting MonthlY Close Process for Monticello it's affiliate business units Support grow into lead preparer monthly financials Monticello corporate entity along several internal business units at Monticello This reviewed by CAO then presented to firm leadership on a monthly basis Support DaytoDay Accounting MonthlyQuarterly Close Process Monticellos investment management clientsMonticello registered investment advisor acts investment manager private funds Engage fund administrator official books records these funds critical independently review signoff those records prepared fund administrator Regular correspondence with fund administrator processdriven review signoff monthly quarterly NAV packs preparation investor reporting materials assistance quarterly distributions payable investors etc Field audit requests reviewing drafting financial statements project managing overall audit process Regular communication Fund Administrator Valuation firms Lead tax liaison field tax requests project managing tax return filing process Prepare all Corporate invoices Invoices prepared CAO become primary responsibility this role Covenant Reporting support grow into lead preparer covenant compliance reporting subject firm includes corporate guarantees guarantees place affiliate fund levels FPASupport Assist modeling proformas functions Monticllo corporate entity affiliate funds Technology Implementation Support Where necessary support Treasurer CAO Senior Controller daytoday cash management firm treasury activities Job Requirements five years corporate public accounting experience finance industry housing healthcare preferred but not required auditor strongly preferred but not required Finance or degree required CPA certification plus but not required Experience tech platforms Kyriba Netsuite Sage Intact plus strongly preferred Strong computer skills proficiency Microsoft Excel Adobe Acrobat background FPfunctions including modeling proforma analysis Must strong work ethic able work independently proactive identifying resolving issues analytical excellent problem solving skills detail oriented capable multitasking Excellent oral written communications skills Work office company policy position remote
