    Job Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Tech II to join our team at UCLA Health.

    About the Role

    This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process surgical instrumentation in a decontamination setting and assemble and sterilize instrument trays.
    • Operate steam and H2O2 sterilizers, sonic equipment, washers, heat sealers, and dumb waiter.
    • Store, date, and rotate supplies according to TJC and CMS guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Working knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile fields, and the principles of an Operating Room decontamination.
    • Demonstrated skills in proper maintenance and cleaning of instrumentation.
    • Correct use of various decontamination equipment and instrument/tray sterilizers.
    • Graduate of accredited Sterile Processing program, Surgical Tech program, or relevant experience.
    • CRCST certification (IAHCSMM).
    • At least 6 months working experience in Sterile Processing.

    Compensation

    $62,000 - $72,000 per year, depending on experience.
