    Description

    We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, troubleshooting, and system administration. This role will involve providing technical expertise in maintaining and evolving the IT systems to ensure continued smooth operations.


    Typical Duties:
    Setup and maintenance of physical and virtual server/network infrastructure, endpoint computers, office infrastructure, network security and endpoint security.
    Interact with third-party service providers for implementation, maintenance, and optimization of current and future technical services.
    Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption to operations.

    Analyzes system logs to pinpoint potential issues, troubleshoots complex server software and network problems, offering Tier II and assisting with Tier III support.

    Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and user training.
    Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
    Assist IT Director in managing and completing IT Department projects.
    Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support and system administration.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
    Proven experience working in IT technical support or system administration roles.
    Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
    Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other system administration tools.
    Proven patch management skills.
    Disaster recovery, backup and restoration solution experience.
    Proficiency with current virtualization, networking and storage technologies.
    Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud hosting services is a plus.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with all levels of staff, clients, vendors and consultants.
    Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
    Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to quickly adjust priorities and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
