- Develop data processing and analytical pipelines for processing and integrating large-scale genomics datasets
- Designing in-house NGS based genomic experiments for range of applications in target identification and validation, lead characterization, and biomarker discovery and validation
- Develop machine learning models from sequence and chemical data to generate design hypothesis
- Develop custom bioinformatics algorithms and workflows to solve unique computational challenges and integrate with existing software solutions to maximize efficiency
- Collaborate closely with experimental scientists on study design and data interpretation, and contribute in team-oriented culture
- Ph.D in Bioinformatics or related computational biology disciplines, or equivalent industrial experience
- Research experience in drug discovery context is highly desired
- Experience in handling large-scale genomics data including RNAseq, ChIP-seq, eCLIP-seq datasets
- Proficient in one scripting language (e.g. shell scripting, Perl) and one programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python)
- Proficient in statistical analysis in R environment, experience with machine learning techniques is high desired
- Excellent record of peer-reviewed publications from scientific work to date
- Plan and achieve project objectives in timely manner
- Demonstrated learning agility and success, moving into and mastering new or unfamiliar areas of science
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
