    Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:


    Develop and maintain a supply base that will maximize the organization's profitability by achieving world-class quality, delivery, innovation and cost.

    Develop and execute global commodity strategies based on market and technology trends.
    Coordinate launch readiness activities between suppliers and Meta Tool Technologies program teams, assuring timelines are met.
    Identify customer needs for the supply base and proactively develop necessary capabilities.
    Oversee all activities related to the procurement of commodities to support the organizations needs.
    Analyze and evaluates market trends, global supply/demand, global economic factors and use data to develop sourcing strategies.
    Coordinate launch readiness activities between suppliers and Meta Tool Technologies Program Teams, assuring timelines are met to support SOP.
    Aggregate and leverage total purchases.
    Build and maintain excellent supplier base partnership.
    Maximize the organizations profitability by achieving world-class quality, delivery, innovation and cost.
    Facilitate the development of ongoing strategic purchasing plan.
    Ensure all planned related actions will meet growth, improve operational efficiency, promote team/staff development, improve quality and/or cost.
    Coordinate with global purchasing team to drive continuous improvements within the supply base.
    Utilize formal problem-solving tools to address supplier performance issues.
    Develop direct reports through facilitation of performance management system, including quarterly touchpoints and annual performance reviews.
    Develop succession plan for all team members.
    Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.
    Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.
    Reporting of monthly purchasing KPI's.

    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
    8+ years experience in global metal forming tooling procurement, preferably within the automotive industry.
    3+ years of demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
    Experience in strategic objective goal setting to drive increased opeational performance.
    Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
    Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks with tight timeframes.
    Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
    Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. word, excel, outlook, etc).
