    Description

    Summary:

    A Host is the first impression the guest receives when entering the restaurant. Friendliness, excellent service, and high standards are a must for this position. The Host also greet Guests upon arrival, inform Guests of their wait time, monitor a waiting list, take to go orders, show Guests to their table and bid Guests farewell as they leave.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name
    • Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
    • Seating guests at a tables or in waiting areas.
    • Assigning guests to tables while keeping table rotation in mind.
    • Answering phone calls, taking reservations, answer questions, and taking to go orders.
    • A knowledge of the menu and beers.
    • Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
    • Help stocking retail area and beers.
    • Providing great customer service.
    • Light brewery admin
    • Distributing mail and communication with other departments.
    Requirements

    Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
    • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
    • Able to handle money accurately and operate point of sales system.
    • Able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance
    • Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive
    • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work effectively within a team
    • Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
    • Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift
    • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe

    Experience:
    • Restaurant experience a plus.
    Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
