- Under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, the Phlebotomist II obtains and prepares specimens for analysis, is trained in Paternity Collections, processes Tissue, PAP, Cytology and blood/swab specimens, etc., for various reference laboratories, enters/batches reference lab orders, prints reports as assigned, answers/routes phone calls, monitors the pneumatic tube system, sorts/files faxes/orders/papers and receives specimens from outreach clinics.
