    Position Summary
    • The Consumer Loan Specialist I performs a variety of servicing and administrative activities on consumer loans. The Consumer Loan Specialist I will be responsible for managing consumer loan documentation inflow to ensure loans are boarded, funded, and liens are perfected in a timely manner.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Scan loan documents into the bank's consumer lending platform.
    • Review loan documents to verify that they were signed and completed properly and review loan funding tickets for accuracy.
    • Ensure proper filing and recording of documentation required for lien perfection on auto and real estate loans.
    • Communicate with branch associates to resolve errors with loan documents and/or loan funding tickets.
    • Prepare bank GL and loan tickets accurately.
    • Process loan ticket transactions using the bank teller system.
    • Maintain daily logs of all loan documents received in the Consumer Loan Center.
    • Ensure that post-closing loan exceptions are resolved within the standard timing set by bank management and policy.
    • Adhere to loan policies and procedures with complete documented files to ensure satisfactory reviews from internal and external audits.
    • Ability to meet individual goals and contribute in a team-oriented environment to ensure departmental and company goals are met. Sets and achieves challenging goals without direct supervision and contributes to a positive team spirit.
    • Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Skills
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence
    Education and/or Experience
    • High school diploma or its equivalent is required
    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
    • 3-5 years of related experience and/or ability to perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • MS Office programs
    • Jack Henry Silverlake platform
    • LendingCycle
    Other Qualifications
    • Must possess excellent telephone and customer service skills.
    • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
    • Must have strong time management skills.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
    • Must maintain punctual and regular attendance.
    • Must present a friendly, professional image and conduct.
