JOB TYPE:
Full-time, W2, 12 months, ongoing need, opportunity for direct hire

JOB SUMMARY FOR Safety Professional:
Support the safety department in a manufacturing plant where we build class - 8 commercial trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR Safety Professional:
Assist with daily responses to safety situations in a manufacturing environment. Maintain presence on the floor to provide assistance, answer questions and safety support.
Facilitate basic safety training for new employees, visitors and contractors as needed.
Assist with employee safety requests/ responses, resolution, tracking and follow up.
Support safety investigations, communications and tracking of metrics.
Assist with safety audits and problem resolution.
Audit Job Safety Analysis across the plant.
Conduct safety risk assessments.
Assist with training tracking and records.
Review practices for OSHA compliance.
Safety projects as assigned.
JOB EXPERIENCE FOR Safety Professional:

1-3 years of relevant experience.

Certifications:
Certified safety professional preferred but not required (below are preferred but not required as well)

CSP

ASP

SMS

OHST
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR Safety Professional:
Ability to perform auditing and safety standards inspections.
Familiarity / training with OSHA compliance.
Ability to provide training for new/current employees, visitors, and contractors who may enter the facility.
