    NextDecade Corporation is an energy company accelerating the path to a net-zero future and leading innovation in more sustainable LNG and carbon capture solutions, NextDecade is committed to providing the world access to cleaner energy.

    Through our subsidiaries Rio Grande LNG and NEXT Carbon Solutions, we are developing a 27 MTPA LNG export facility in South Texas along with one of the largest carbon capture and storage projects in North America.

    We are also working with third-party customers around the world to deploy our proprietary processes to lower the cost of carbon capture and storage and reduce CO2 emissions at their industrial-scale facilities.

    By combining emissions reduction associated with our carbon capture and storage project, responsibly sourced gas, and our pledge to use net-zero electricity, Rio Grande LNG is expected to produce

    a lower carbon intensive LNG

    for the world.

    SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

    Reporting to the VP Finance & Strategy, the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will partner with management at all levels to improve business outcomes and optimize company performance.

    The ideal candidate will understand SaaS business models, have excellent analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and be self-initiative.

    This role will lead a team of Financial Analysts.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Manage, compile, and provide analysis for company planning/budgeting and forecasting for all departments.
    Drive strategic business process improvement and automation of the planning and reporting processes.
    Develop and maintain the Company's multi-year projections.
    Lead and manage the annual planning process for the Company.

    Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting – analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management.

    Build deep business partner relationships across the organization to drive visibility and decision-making in resource allocation.
    Provide direction and collaborate with budget owners to assist with the efficient execution of budget.
    Analyze and report on key company-wide performance metrics to the executive leadership team.
    Prepare presentations to the Executive Leadership as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS
    Minimum/preferred experience required for the position:10+ years of successful progressive Finance experience required.
    Ability to influence and partner effectively with Executive-level Leaders across the organization.
    Firm grasp of corporate finance concepts, practices, and tools
    Experience leading OR managing budget/forecast.
    Excellent business-savvy with a consultative approach; ability to influence and collaborate with senior level leaders across organizational lines.
    Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.

    Ability to manage, triage, and prioritize multiple priorities from different stakeholders.
    Ability to problem solve independently.
    Ability to respond to changing environment, agility in mindset and approach.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Comfortable developing clear and insightful presentations and speaking in front of the general company and executive leadership.

    Eager to pitch in and assist as necessary to help the team accomplish functional and corporate goals.
    Strong sense of drive and initiative.

    Required/preferred education:
    Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or accounting. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.
