EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervises responses to property tax questions generated from the public at the downtown tax office in person and by phone.Supervises Property Tax staff and assigns workload on a daily basis.Assists taxpayers in securing property tax information from a variety of sources including the Tax Office, Tarrant Appraisal District, entities and others.Conducts property tax research as a result of taxpayer inquiries.Develops and maintains property tax procedures and documentation.Coordinates and communicates with staff in other Tax Office departments in addition to other County offices.Resolves complicated property tax problems.May supervise the creation, balancing, and correction of tax rolls from data and information received from appraisal districts in Tarrant and surrounding counties.May supervise the generation and mailing of tax bills.May issue property tax statements and receipts.May supervise the issuance of tax certificates based on taxpayer request and resulting research.May supervise the collection of property tax payments and application to property tax accounts.May supervise the processing and application of property tax payments through electronic payment channels.May supervise payment of delinquent taxes through installment agreements.May supervise collection of taxes through delinquent tax suits or bankruptcy proceedings.May supervise payment transfers and refunds of over-payments, erroneous payments, assessment recalculations, and agreed judgments.Will assist Manager in setting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals for Department and staff.Create and maintain spreadsheets and/or other forms of data tracking as well as create graphs and charts to track production.May be required to create presentations and training guides for training to staff members outside the department.Provide training to current and new employees.Must maintain the confidentiality and integrity of personal information as required by federal employment laws.Performs all other related duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, lift, stoop, bend and reach.
