We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated instructor to join our team as an English Adjunct Faculty member on the General Education department. This part-time adjunct position offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the academic journey of our students.

The mission of the General Education Department at Eastern International College is to provide our students with a curriculum that prepares them to acquire transferable skills in the humanities, sciences, and technology that prepare them for their careers in the allied health field.

Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned courses in English composition, literature, and/or language
• Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials focusing on student success
• Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their writing skills
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and other evaluation methods
• Maintain best practices in English education to continuously improve instructional quality
• Participate in professional development activities and faculty meetings as required

Requirements:

• Master's degree in English or closely related discipline, from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
• College level teaching experience.
• Ability to respectfully interact with a highly diverse student body
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic academic environment
• Must attend a scheduled faculty orientation

Preferred qualifications:

• Availability on weekends, evenings
