- Define the long-term vision for our data and how it delivers business value.
- Provide clarity of purpose and prioritization for initiative objectives, promoting consensus and support from senior leaders as well as program partners.
- Enable the interaction between the different partner groups to support the success of the program
- Provide a blueprint to define, plan, implement, evaluate and measure the performance of the data management function.
- Enable a well-managed data environment that enables the organization to meet its strategic priorities and develop strong analytics capabilities.
- Define domain's scope and partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Translate business strategies into practical business-oriented data management strategies for the assigned domain
- Establish policy and standards minimum compliance requirements
- Govern compliance with enterprise control framework
- Establish and govern risk-tiered Enterprise Critical Data, frameworks for data acquisition, distribution and consumption of this data
- Leading all aspects of the data governance work streams, including resource, project and vendor management
- Support and govern critical data metadata management, reference data management and master data management
- Lead all aspects and govern management of enterprise authoritative data sources and lineage; enterprise business and technical metadata for each enterprise critical data element
- Review and validate technical metadata & data lineage for data elements
- Establish population, filters and thresholds required for the enterprise critical data elements
- Assist in the creation of requirements for Data Quality Rules
- Work with Information Technology to Test, Deploy and apply an appropriate level of version control over data quality tools
- Actively supervise and run data quality rule exceptions
- Apply Business Glossary and Catalog tools such as Collibra to maintain Enterprise Critical Data
- Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of validated experience in management and a systems development environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience on large system improvements, conversions and production problem resolution
- Requires a complete understanding of the system development life cycle and of enterprise architecture
- Understanding of data management and data governance concepts
- Project management leadership skills, knowledge of MS WORD and EXCEL spreadsheet application experience
- Knowledge of Informatica Tools Suite, Tableau, SQL
- Knowledge of Catalog/Glossary/Metadata Tools such as Collibra, Informatica Suite, Data Flux
- Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms
- Understanding of Data Privacy regulations and implications for Freddie Mac
- Excellent analytical, organization, project, and time management skills, strong judgment, and management skills; efficiently collaborate with senior management, other technology personnel, clients and vendors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to successfully present to the target audience.

Position Overview:
Are you interested in leading data and the emerging regulations around data privacy? The Business Lead of Enterprise Data Governance and Strategy will be a part of the Enterprise Data Office and ensure that the organization is data driven in decision making and will apply analytics to develop informed and impactful insights This includes implementing and leading an information governance function, unstructured data management, analysis and insights, and data privacy management. The role also facilitates data and reporting requirements, defines standard metrics and scorecards, strongly influences the associated enabling technology platforms, and investigates new opportunities to acquire structured and unstructured data for use in enterprise decision making. This role will work closely with business and technology partners to develop enterprise strategy and facilitate governance throughout the Information Lifecycle (Collection, Classification, Usage, Storage, Retention, Disposal).
