    As a Senior DEI Consultant specializing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), you will play a pivotal role in fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.

    You will work closely with the HR team, leadership, and employees to develop, implement, and drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.

    This Senior DEI Consultant will function as a part of a dynamic team that supports our public sector client agencies – addressing and evaluating current DEI issues and developing solutions that are tailored to meet the needs of the individual client.

    The Senior DEI Consultant will contact clients and may routinely represent CPS HR Consulting at meetings, presentations or events that influence the client or agency.

    Typical job functions include but are not limited to:
    Develop short-term and long-term strategies and programs to enhance organizational culture and community engagement.
    Collaborate with leadership to formulate action plans that align with organizational goals and community initiatives.
    Provide guidance, coaching, and advice to all levels of leadership and elected officials to foster cultural competence.
    Work with government officials on community outreach, focus groups, and town hall meetings to advance DEIB initiatives.
    Lead community programs and outreach efforts aimed at promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
    Collaborate with staff and volunteers to encourage and increase participation in DEIB community engagement initiatives.
    Facilitates training and discussions around DEI topics.
    Designs and implement DEI solutions to meet client needs.

    Applies theoretical and practical knowledge of HR/DEI subject matter to perform complex professional level work in various domains including but not limited to: management consulting, human resources generalist work, leadership and development, employee relations, EEO compliance, compensation, talent acquisition, and strategic planning.

    Plans, conducts, and supervises client projects involving complex DEI technical and administrative issues.
    Coordinate a team of DEI consultants and support staff on a project basis, including the assignment, training, and guidance.
    Organizes work and coordinates activities with DEI team and other business units.
    Compiles, organizes, analyzes, and interprets data for DEI projects and reports; prepares and presents recommendations.
    Drafts and/or prepares correspondence, narrative and statistical reports and may draft complex reports, proposals, and presentations.
    Serves as a resource on a wide array of DEI projects.

    Communicates with internal and external clients to determine DEI project needs, outlines scope of work, project timelines, and cost estimates.

    Provides DEI technical consultation, data gathering and statistical analyses to internal and external clients.
    Assist in the preparation and presentation of information about our DEI services to prospective and existing clients.

    SCHEDULE
    This role is a regular full-time position requiring 40+ hours a week.


    TRAVEL
    CPS HR is headquartered in Sacramento, CA.

    This position is designed to work remotely and is presently expected to have a minimum of 14 days of travel per month, which may include occasional overnight trips throughout California, beginning on Sunday, but may include trips to other primarily western states, and as client needs evolve, there may be potential for additional travel.

    candidates will have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities in:


    Knowledge :
    Comprehensive understanding of

    DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) principles and practices.
    Experience in creating DEIB programs for community engagement and facilitating public forums.
    Proficiency in HR competencies, including EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) or related areas.
    Familiarity with risk management, labor law, and employee relations.
    Awareness of public sector, academia, and consulting environments.

    Skills:
    Strong facilitation skills with a background in training.
    Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external clients.
    Advanced analytical skills for data gathering and statistical analysis.
    Proficient in drafting and preparing reports, proposals and presentations.
    Capable of organizing and coordinating team efforts and activities with risk management, labor law, and employee relations.
    Awareness of public sector, academia, and consulting environments.

    Abilities:
    Ability to design and implement DEI solutions to meet client needs.
    Ability to plan, conduct, and supervise complex DEI projects.
    Ability to lead and guide a team of DEI consultants and support staff.
    Ability to serve as a resource on a wide array of DEI projects.
    Ability to conduct academic level research.
    Experience
    Four years of professional experience

    and
    Education
    A bachelor's degree in relevant field.
