**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Plan and implement verification and validation (V&V) strategy, including implementation practices and processes.
+ Work closely with NASA to integrate joint verification activities with the International Space Station
+ Manage customer-related integrated V&V plans. Lead V&V collaboration efforts both internally and externally.
+ Establish and oversee verification requirements for subsystems and suppliers as part of the integrated V&V plan
+ Collaborate with system and subsystem engineers, program office personnel and customers for V&V planning, scheduling, and execution.
+ Support the development and maintenance of requirements (both internal and external).
+ Mentor junior engineers in spacecraft concepts, processes, analyses, and tool development
+ Prepare technical documentation and presentations for peers, management, and external customers and partners.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelors Degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline)
+ 10+ years experience in engineering verification and validation activities, including V&V strategy development, planning, and execution or a combined equivalent of education and experience
+ A background in space systems engineering is desired, including an understanding of space vehicle design, space system architecture development, ground systems support, payloads, and space missions and operations development
+ Detailed knowledge of spaceflight subsystems and functions is desired, preferably human spaceflight related experience
+ Experience with JAMA or other requirements management tool is required
+ Demonstrated leadership and extensive collaboration skills are a must
+ Experience communicating to senior decision-makers and technical audiences
**Essential Functions**
+ Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
**Requirements**
+ Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
+ Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
+ Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
