    We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Chef for our casual dining restaurant in the heart of New Orleans. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, have a creative flair for menu design, and be able to manage a team of kitchen staff to consistently deliver high-quality dishes that meet our customers' expectations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop creative and innovative menus that align with the restaurant's concept and standards
    • Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
    • Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently
    • Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety regulations
    • Control food costs and inventory by monitoring purchasing, receiving, and storage of food and supplies
    • Create and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure the restaurant has access to the freshest ingredients
    • Work closely with the restaurant's management team to achieve sales targets and financial goals
    • Continuously improve kitchen operations, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency
    • Keep up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques to ensure the restaurant remains competitive and relevant

    Requirements:

    • At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a casual dining restaurant
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative and innovative menus
    • Proven track record of managing a kitchen team, with experience in hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff
    • Ability to control food costs and inventory and optimize kitchen operations to achieve financial targets
    • In-depth knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, with a passion for food and an eye for detail
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the restaurant's management team
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
