Description
The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling radiology procedures for outpatients in a competent and efficient manner: obtains required patient information, verbal orders when needed, insurance information, and pre-certification information in order to complete the scheduling process in the most accurate method possible.
Pre-registers patients prior to scheduled test, manages no-shows and cancellations to ensure high productivity rate in radiology department. Effectively interacts with hospital staff and physician office staff while maintaining standards of professionalism. (Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in AMMC Missions/Vision Statement and reflects a commitment to continuous quality improvement.)Requirements:
At least one year of computer experience and excellent people skills. Radiology procedure and Medical Terminology knowledge.
