    Overview of the Role
    The Director of New Construction is responsible for overseeing all project delivery, execution standards, and operational performance tied to new construction programs. This leader ensures that projects are launched correctly, delivered consistently, and closed out cleanly. They provide direction to project managers, project coordinators, and field teams supporting new construction work, ensuring alignment with scope, budgets, timeline requirements, and customer expectations.
    This role builds scalable processes, drives cross-department alignment, and ensures that all new construction engagements are delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
    What You'll Do
    • Construction Program Leadership
      • Own and oversee the operational approach for new construction projects.
      • Define, maintain and oversee the end to end workflows, processes and procedures that will be required for successful delivery of all solutions.
      • Ensure all new construction projects follow through consistent practices from project kickoff to closeout with the customer.
      • Develop and report departmental KPIs, ensuring profitability, accuracy and consistency across all deployed solutions.
      • Partner with Executive leadership on long-term forecasting, backlog planning and risk evaluation to support growth within the department and company.
    • Project Delivery Oversight
      • Provide leadership to the PM/PC team managing new construction projects.
      • Participate in project hand off meetings to ensure smooth transitions from engineering to operations.
      • Oversee projects in flight to protect budgets, maintain quality and on target scope(s).
      • Monitor milestones & identify risks on timeline or delivery.
      • Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to review, scope, and execute all change orders.
      • Assure internal teams drive timely change order processing.
    • Planning, Resourcing, and Forecasting
      • Work with project managers and field deployment teams to plan labor, scheduling and set up phased deployments for success.
      • Validate project readiness before deployment, including materials, documentation and customer awareness of timeline/phases.
    • Operational Standards and Quality Assurance
      • Develop, encore and refine delivery standards for all new construction work.
      • Ensure and enforce accurate documentation and closeout procedures.
      • Drive consistency across project facing teams to align standards and reduce return visits.
    • Performance Management and Reporting
      • Own and Track KPIs tied to new construction projects, including:
      • Schedules and timelines
      • Budget adherence
      • Deployment standards
      • Labor utilization
      • Change order management
      • Customer Satisfaction
    • Customer and Internal Stakeholder Communication
      • Support customer updates including milestone reporting.
      • Provide consistent communication across all internal teams to keep alignment.
    • Team Leadership and Development
      • Coach, guide and support Project Managers and Coordinators in new construction vertical.
      • Assist VP of Operations on staffing decisions team development and resource allocation to ensure the right talent in specific roles.
      • Build a strong, scalable team capable of handling growing demands.
    What You Bring
    • Must Haves:
      • 5+ years of experience in project management, construction management, telecommunications deployment, or large-scale technical field operations
      • 5+ years of leadership experience managing project teams, field teams, or construction operations
      • Proven ability to oversee complex, multi-phase construction or technology deployment projects
      • Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., , Asana, Smartsheet), Excel/Sheets, and construction-related documentation platforms
      • Ability to interpret engineering documents, scopes of work, site plans, and schedules
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with customers and executives
      • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecast labor, and maintain profitability across a large portfolio of projects
      • A track record of building scalable processes, improving operational standards, and driving accountability
      • Ability to travel 25% to job sites and customer locations as needed
    • Nice-to-Have
      • Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or Construction Management certifications
      • Experience with low-voltage systems, hospitality technology deployments, or multi-site new construction programs
      • Familiarity with Salesforce, FinancialForce, Rippling, or similar operational/ERP/CRM tools
      • Experience overseeing subcontractors or managing large vendor networks
      • Background in hospitality, MDUs, or other high-volume, multi-property environments
